Igus manufactures lightweight gantry style, delta pick-and-place, robotic arms, as well as 7th Axis Robot Slide, a robot transfer unit (RTU) for cobots. Used in pick-and-place and material handling applications, lightweight robotic arms from igus includes robolink® arms available with either 4 or 5 axes, as well as 4 and 6 axis ReBeL (Robotic embedded-BDLC & electronics Link) cobots with service robot capabilities. All Igus robotic arms use lightweight, plastic robotic components that operate without any need for external lubricants which eliminates routine maintenance along with the chance of lubrication-based machine downtime. Drylin® gantry robots, also known as cartesian or linear robots, consist of two base X-axes, a Y-axis, and an optional Z-axis. Their self-lubricating plastic liners have been engineered to slide instead of roll and to run smoother and quieter than recirculating ball bearings. Typical applications include pick-and-place, sorting, labeling, measurement, inspection automation, and repetitive material handling. Igus also sells robotic joints, gearbox joints and other robotic components and accessories.

Igus offers a wide range of electric motors for linear actuators and automation solutions, including DC, EC/BLDC, and stepper motors. Igus stepper motors are available in several different sizes and can be extended with encoders and brakes. Other offerings include spindle motors, which consist of a stepper motor with a hollow shaft where a spindle is inserted. These motors are ideal for applications with high axial loads that would otherwise damage a standard stepper motor. Drylin® linear actuators are lightweight, dirt-resistant, maintenance-free and quieter than recirculating ball bearings. Igus stepper, DC, and EC motors can be easily paired with igus line of linear actuators to electrify them for applications where an electric linear actuator is needed. In addition, Igus manufactures machine components and accessories including cables.
